University of Newcastle (University of Newcastle), referred to as "New York University" "UoN", is an Australian public comprehensive university, founded in 1965, is affiliated to the Australian government's public university, located in the city of Newcastle, Australia. The University of Newcastle is a leader and innovator in both education and research, attracting highly qualified students and teaching staff from around the world, and is internationally recognised as a pioneer in the "problem-led learning" approach. The school attaches great importance to the study and life of overseas students, and the International Students Office regularly invites international students to participate in forums to listen to the opinions and suggestions of students. At the same time, the school's student union organizes various activities every two weeks.
The University of Newcastle is a member of the Innovative Research Group of six Australian universities and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The university has six campuses, with the main campus located in Callaghan, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, and the University also has campuses in Ourimbah, Port Macquarie, Singapore, the Newcastle CBD and the Sydney CBD.
